【摘要】:Thisspecificationprescribestherequirementsforclassificationofsolidcarbonsteelelectrodesandrods,compositestrandedcarbonsteelelectrodes,andcompositemetalcoredcarbonsteelelectrodesforgasshieldedarcwelding.Classificationisbasedonchemicalcompositionoftheelectrodeforsolidelectrodesandrods,chemicalcompositionofweldmetalforcompositestrandedandcompositemetalcoredelectrodesandtheas-weldedmechanicalpropertiesoftheweldmetalforeach.Additionalrequirementsareincludedformanufacture,sizes,lengths,andpackaging.Aguideisappendedtothespecificationasasourceofinformationconcerningtheclassificationsystememployedandtheintendeduseoftheelectrodesandrods.ThisspecificationmakesuseofbothU.S.CustomaryUnitsandtheInternationalSystemofUnits(SI).Sincetheseunitsarenotequivalent,eachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother.
