【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandarddescribestherequirementsforautomated,controlledshot-peeningofmetallicarticlespriortoelectrolyticorautocatalyticdepositionofnickelorchromium,orasafinalfinish,usingshotmadeofcaststeel,conditionedcutwire,ceramicshotorglassbeads.Theprocessisapplicabletothosematerialsonwhichtestworkhasshownittobebeneficialwithingivenintensityranges.Itisusuallynotsuitableforbrittlematerials.Hand-peeningandrotaryflap-peeningarespecificallyexcluded.Shot-peeninginducesresidualcompressivestressesinthesurfaceandnearsurfacelayersofmetallicarticles,andchangesthesurfacemicrostructure(includingphasetransformation),therebycontrollingorlimitingthereductioninfatiguepropertiesthatoccursfromnickelorchromiumplatingofthearticle,orincreasingthefatiguepropertiesofunplatedarticles.
