MIL-STD-2036A, MILITARY STANDARD: GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT SPECIFICATIONS (03 SEP 1993) [SUPERSEDING MIL-E-16400H] [S/S BY MIL-HDBK-2036]., This standard covers the policy guidance, and general and detailed requirements, for the preparation of specifications for electronic equipment used in shipboard (including submarines) and space applications. This document provides guidance for the use of commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS), ruggedized, and militarized equipment. Requirements shall be based on the installation and intended use of the equipment.
